Wedding ceremony: Celebrant tips in case of a heat wave21 July 2017
Your wedding celebrant in Normandy
Dear bride & groom,
If you visit this blog for the first time, let me introduce myself: My name is Magali, wedding celebrant in France since 2009. I was born in Rouen in Haute-Normandie, lived in Northern France for 5 years then in the UK for 10 years until I decided to settle with my British husband in the Poitou Charente region.
As years went by, I never forgot the region I came from, the Normandy countryside where I grew up, day trips to Deauville, Veules-les-Roses, Dieppe, Etretat, Honfleur and Mont Saint Michel. For that reason, I felt strongly about offering couples wishing to get married in this beautiful region the opportunity to celebrate their union with a symbolic wedding ceremony celebrated by a celebrant based locally.
If you wish to celebrate your union with a secular wedding ceremony in Normandy, do not hesitate to contact Sophie. Perfectly fluent in French and in English, Sophie is based near Caen and will be delighted to prepare for you a truly bespoke wedding ceremony in your chosen wedding venue.
There are 5 departements in Normandy: Eure (27), Seine-Maritime (76), Orne (61), Manche (50) and Calvados (14). These departements illustrate clearly the fascinating diversity of landscapes which can be admired in Normandy: Hedged farmland, plains, towns, coastline and sea side resorts. Normandy has an extremely rich and varied historical heritage: Museums, churches, timber-framed houses, chateaux and WWII landing beaches.
Whether you are looking for a medieval fortress, a typical thatched cottage, a manor house or a château, Normandy has a lot to offer.
Take advantage of your trip to Normandy to visit the « Maisons des Illustres » (Monet, Millet, l’Abbé Pierre, Flaubert, Dior), follow the Impressionism trail and enjoy local produce.
