Dear Bride & Grooms,
My name is Karyne and I am a wedding celebrant in Provence. I cover the regions of the Alpes de Haute Provence (04), Alpes Maritimes (06), Bouches du Rhône (13), Drôme (26), Gard (30), Hérault (34), Var (83) and Vaucluse (84).
I indeed have the great pleasure and privilege of living in the South of France, near the delightful city of Aix-en-Provence, nestled between the authentic Luberon, the majestic Sainte Victoire Mountain, the sweet Alpilles and the gorgeous Calanques. A dream-reality setting.
Here, the mild climate is an invitation to, quite rightly, take your time to contemplate, enjoy and share memorable, authentic moments, very much like in a time capsule as you sit back in the shade of green and silver olive trees, listening to the warm sound of the song of the cicadas, facing the deep blue Mediterranean sea. This is what attracted me to this region which is a haven of peace and sweetness whilst being just as colourful as the Provencal accent.
Embrace this art of living, this feeling of «knowing how to live the moment». I spent 11 years being entirely dedicated to my career as a Consultant in International Marketing & Communication in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and in Russia. Prior to that, I spent 2 years in Paris after 2 years of international studies in France (Rouen), Denmark (Copenhagen) and in the United States (Monterey, California). Now settled in Provence for about 20 years, I have also spent quite some time between Houston (Texas), Singapore and Monaco.
Being of a Franco-Asian culture, I have always been naturally attracted to the diversity of cultures and nationalities, both personally and professionally and I feel strongly about constantly getting better understanding of the world and its citizens.
When the time came to officialise my relationship with my better half, my lovely husband, a Dutch national and I celebrated our union with a bilingual wedding ceremony. This was my very first experience of such a wedding ceremony and it was truly the happiest day of my life, as I had hoped with all my heart. For this very reason, I feel I can relate to your expectations and your dreams and this is where my role as your wedding celebrant takes all its meaning: My role is to listen to you, identify your idea of a dream wedding, understanding your wishes, your expectations and doing everything I possibly can to make your dreams a reality whilst reassuring you if you have any concerns and turn your wedding day as “YOUR happiest day of YOUR life”.
